OUR REVIEW

If power, versatility, and features are your fortè, then look no further. The Simpsons ALH4240 is extremely powerful. It has one of the highest price tags for a pressure washer, averaging around $1,300.00.  This model was designed for a working professional as it can tackle larger tasks such a paint preparation, graffiti removal, and wood restoration.  It comes with a two-year warranty for the pump, a 10-year warranty for the frame, and a 4-year warranty for the engine. SIMPSON also offers a dedicated customer service line, so any issues can be handled by SIMPSON directly.

This unit contains a commercial-grade Honda GX390 OHC engine with an oil alert system. The light will turn on when oil is low, indicating that the unit needs its oil to be replenished. The triple plunger pumps are perfect. They are quality made and make this unit maintenance free.  This unit sits on a welded aircraft grade aluminum brushed frame and moves with 13-inch never-flat pneumatic wheels for easy mobility in rough terrain. The unit weighs 124 pounds but has a low and compact design. It is easy to store and has onboard storage for the wand and hose.

The hose is a 50 foot, 3/8 inch thick steel braided hose. We found no issue with kinks or abrasion during its use. This model comes with 5 quick connect tips (0, 15, 25, 40 degrees and a low-pressure soap sprayer). One of the more notable features is the dial-n-wash spray gun. The spray gun is made of the same material as the frame and the PSI can be adjusted for various tasks. It also has a safety lock to prevent any accidental activations. This model does not have onboard detergent storage but does have a siphoning tube. This model is perfect for any professional looking for power and a compact design.

Overall We'd Say

This is the first heavy-commercial pressure washer on our list. The price is higher than most homeowners are used to, but if you are using it professionally, you won’t be disappointed. It’s almost double the weight of a recreational pressure washer, but the power and reliability you get make it all worth it. This pressure washer can easily handle any DIY project, but is more suitable for a painting contractor or commercial professional.
